Lisette qualified as a solicitor in 1995 at the city law firm, Dentons, where she gained experience working for media clients such as Warners and the Really Useful Group.

On qualifying Lisette went to work for Endemol, the producers of Big Brother, and was quickly promoted to Deputy Head of Business Affairs.  She worked across all genres of programming from factual entertainment (Ready Steady Cook and Changing Rooms), scripted dramas (Trojan Eddie), music (The White Room and The Brits) and live events (Glastonbury).

In the run up to the Millennium, Lisette was the lawyer responsible for intellectual property and media for the company running the Dome in Greenwich.  She negotiated contracts for high profile talent to perform on New Year’s Eve 1999.

Lisette then spent 3 years as Head of Legal Affairs for Entertainment Rights, a rights distribution company advising, acquiring, and licensing rights in well-known children’s brands such as Barbie, Hamilton Mattress, and Postman Pat.

Lisette went on to be Head of Business Affairs at independent television production company, Betty, producers of hundreds of hours of factual primetime TV, including award-winning, The Undateables (C4) and Bear Grylls:Mission Survive (ITV).

Since 2010 Lisette has been a director of Groves Media Law, a boutique law firm specialising in media and commercial advice.  She acts for some of the industry’s leading production companies and for individuals, across all genres of television.
